DBT for Teenage girls: (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a treatment modality developed in 1993 by Marsha M. Linahan for individuals who struggle with regulating their emotions. Within an environment of acceptance, safety and compassion,; we teach teen girls to utilize tangible coping skills in an effort to help them achieve a more fulfilling life.
Anger Management for Young Men: Using an evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, this group offers adolescent young men the necessary skills and tools to learn to develop an individualized and focused anger control plan. Personalized plans can include Relaxation interventions to focus on emotional and physiological areas; such interventions as Cognitive strategies such as thought stopping; Communication skills interventions, which build on being assertive and resolving issues.
Expressive Art Therapy and Mindfulness Program for Middle School Students: This therapeutic group will involve engaging in expressive art therapy activities, mindfulness training, and a chance to connect and work with the support of our counselors and peers. We will discuss feelings of worthlessness, self- criticizing, learning to know who you are, and that you have a real purpose.
